Β

Is gymnastics your forte? Are you one of those whose best friends are weights and stretching? If the answer is NO, then we have the fitness program for you!

A highly danceable three days to indulge in squats, stretches, push ups and rope work! Best coaches for this purpose are none other than our favorite artists: 48 ORES, ONIRAMA & The Swingin’ Cats, who will accompany your fitness demonstrations with their music and will make you have an unforgettable time! After this 3-day workout, you will be able to proudly answer those who criticize you: “Yeah man, I’m working out! Is there a problem?”

Of course, the party doesn’t stop that easily! All 3 nights we continue at a frantic pace, with DJs taking their place on the decks and getting us going!

The key words are lycra, leotards, and towel bandanas! All you have to do is open your wardrobes, find the right “gym” outfit and get ready for a wild party on the street carved by the one and only Jane Fonda!

And here are the times and conditions of the training, in detail:

The reins of entertainment will be taken over on Friday 15 March by 48 ORES, the band now synonymous with the word party, who are coming with a dance playlist that will burn a lot of calories! The live clubbing experts, with their infectious rhythms and dynamic stage presence, will set the perfect tone to kick off an unparalleled night of celebration and dancing.

Featuring dance favorites from all musical genres and decades, from 80’s and 90’s pop to Latin American rumba dance and today’s pop hits, they aim to help us “get the perfect body”! Wear our best mood and comfortable shoes because 48 ORES warns, “We don’t do concerts! We party till we drop!”

Zone A: 17 euros
Zone B: 14 euros
General Admission: 9 euros

Continuing with the beloved band ONIRAMA, which takes over on Saturday 16 March to lead the second round of gymnastics and to stir us up with its dozens of timeless hits, its dynamic presence and its madness. ONIRAMA returns to the Roof Stage of Gazarte to “mix” once again, melodies, sounds and different musical eras, together with a unique guest!

Their companion in the fun will be the favorite of the audience and the radio, Kostas Bigalis, who will create the ultimate 90s atmosphere with his classic hits! “Aegean Blues”, “Little My Bee”, “Rina Katerina”, are just some of the songs we love and we will all sing loudly together on Saturday. Get ready for takeoff with a “Boing 747”!

Zone A: 25 euros
Zone B: 20 euros
General Admission: 17 euros

For “closing” on Sunday 17 March, “The Swingin Cats” come with a wild party mood and frantic swing and rock n’ roll tunes to celebrate the last day of Halloween!

Giorgos Zervos, firmly as the conductor and front man of the band, will give the signal for the creative change in the musical trends of all times, and we will start a new set of dance exercises – because don’t forget, we also have a body to work out! A dance program that brings to life a wide range of Greek and foreign repertoire to “sweat our sports shirts” and make Jane Fonda proud!

THEODORE

SATURDAY 13 APRIL

GAZARTE GROUND STAGE

An explosive night with special guest π€ππ¨π¦π’πœ π‹π¨π―πž!

On Saturday, April 13th, Theodore, in his first Athenian live show for 2024, will appear at the new Gazarte Ground Stage for a unique club show in which he and his band will present brand new material as well as favorite tracks from his entire discography.

Coming off the recent release of his single ” Aquatic ” and heading into his next two singles coming in March and April, Theodore is ushering in a new era in his sound, embracing simplicity and creating more liberated than ever before. The music he delivers, a combination of his signature alternative and post rock sound with more “decontextualized” synth pop elements, is the most honest musical version of himself yet.

He loves to compose music that creates images, stories or fairy tales, capturing it live in energetic and mysterious concerts, with amazing light shows and visuals. With a lot of enthusiasm, cinematic mood and high energy, he is looking forward to share his new material for the first time in the unique space of Gazarte Ground Stage.

π€ππ¨π¦π’πœ π‹π¨π―πž

Eva’s introspective melodies, Panos’ atmospheric guitars and Pavlos’ soundscapes make up the alloy of π€ππ¨π¦π’πœ π‹π¨π―πž, the pop trio from Athens. Their first album “Vol.1”, released in May 2020 by Enter events, is an anthem to dystopian relationships and power games. Their sound is influenced by artists such as Portishead, Bjork, FKA Twigs, London Grammar, Alt-J with plenty of loops, soulful beats and dream pop atmosphere.

WE REAL COOL – COSTIS CHRISTODOULOU ELECTRIC GROUP

C’MONΒ

WE REAL COOL

Costis Christodoulou

Antonis Andreou

Dimitris Tsakas

Yoel Soto Gonzalez

Sotiris Ntouvas

On Monday 26 February, Costis Christodoulou returns to Gazarte with a very different performance, inaugurating the playful and enigmatic Kiddo Stage!

Titled C’Mon (Creative Music of Now)Β , pianist Costis Christodoulou’s new, electric groupΒ We Real Cool presents a fusion program with a sound that combines New Orleans boogie woogie with atmospheric slowjams, synth-funk with up-beat calypso, and cinematic soundtracks with Afro-Cuban jazz.

A unique musical experience, where audience and musicians will share sensations and emotions on the same level, without a stage, without chairs – an organic jazz mystique on Gazarte’s atmospheric, stone-built Kiddo Stage – seeking to preserve the immediacy and vitality of the most dynamic art form.

Original and unpublished pieces, work songs & spirituals, songs by Harry Belafonte, Afro-Cuban standards, scores from Spike Lee’s films, are connected with a free, improvisational approach, constituting the “creative music of now”, which is born in front of us and disappears at the same time, passing to another side.

WILLIAM BASINSKI

Made Of Stone Productions proudly presents

WILLIAM BASINSKI [USA]

Saturday 27 April 2024 | Gazarte Main Stage

Carving a very particular path over the past 30 years, William Basinski insists on recording mysterious frequencies at the precipitous edges of music’s boundaries, even making it seem simple and effortless. Based in New York City for most of his career, he has used his musical training not to reproduce the classics, but to redefine the essence of sound and test the conscious boundaries of audiences and critics around the world as few others have.

Analog technology was and remains his passion, and by intricately weaving melancholic soundscapes and multiple layers of recordings, Basinksi explores the (anyway chaotic) universe of what we call ambient music, giving image to sounds and sound to images. Working for decades with visual artists, museum curators and orchestral musicians, he sets art installations imprinted in music, creating new dimensions.

His timeless masterpiece ‘The Disintegration Loops’ has been invested in museum exhibitions and orchestral adaptations around the world and he continues to be creative without compromising on his uncompromising approach, which is clearly reflected in his latest work ‘On Time Out Of Time’ for which he is still touring the world.

As part of this latest creative campaign, William Basinski will also visit Athens for a unique performance at the Gazarte Main Stage on Saturday 27 April, at one of those occasions when the boundaries of art and the process of its reception are tested, both for the artist and the audience.
