Warhaus are coming this May to Athens and Thessaloniki for three nights full of sexy, dark jazz and pop tunes, which will remind us why we loved them from the first listen!

It’s been half a decade since Maarten Devoldere (Balthazar) was inspired to create the solo project Warhaus that captured our hearts and gave us two albums adored by music lovers everywhere – “We Fucked a Flame into Being” (2016) and “Warhaus ” (2017), with tracks of sexy, dark pop aesthetics, such as “Love’s a Stranger”, which conquered Greek radios, and “Machinery”, which continues to make us fall in love every time we listen to it.

His return to the discography does not come through endless study and refinement. The songs of the brand new album “Ha Ha Heartbreak” sprung up in just three weeks in the sultry city of Palermo. All Devoldere needed was the solitude of a hotel room, a guitar, a microphone and a heart that had recently been broken into a thousand pieces.

“Ha Ha Heartbreak” is definitely Warhaus’ most personal and real album to date, keeping the familiar atmospheric, jazzy pop manner, but skillfully managing to jump through the different stages of mourning and sadness, finally ending in resignation and bleak ma at the same time redemptive conclusion of “Best I Ever Had”: “All I ever wanted was a lot/ to be your man was something I could not”.

With all this rare material in their luggage they land in Athens and Thessaloniki and invite us to live the Warhaus experience on Friday May 19th at WE in Thessaloniki, on Saturday May 20th at Gazarte’s Roof Stage.
