The Mammal Hands, one of the most iconic bands of the new British jazz and minimal music scene, are coming to the Gazarte Main Stage on Sunday, April 27.
A trio that has redefined the contemporary music landscape, blending jazz, modern classical, electronica, post-rock, folk, and ambient. With their effortless yet deeply emotional approach, they have established themselves as one of the most innovative musical groups of our time.
Formed in 2012 in Norwich, the Mammal Hands quickly caught the attention of the music world. Signing with Gondwana Records in 2013, they have since released five critically acclaimed albums. Their latest album, “Gift from the Trees” (2023), captures their creative maturity and their ability to tell stories through sound that move and inspire.
Featuring Jordan Smart (saxophone), Nick Smart (piano), and Rob Turner (drums), the trio creates sonic landscapes that combine technical mastery with artistic innovation. Their talent has earned praise from leading figures in the industry, such as Tom Ravenscroft, Bonobo, Jamie Cullum, and Gilles Peterson.
Their dynamic live performances have cemented the Mammal Hands as one of the world’s most beloved live bands. Their mesmerizing shows have taken them to every corner of the globe, from Japan and China to the USA, Thailand, and across Europe. They have graced legendary stages such as The Barbican London, Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, Montreux Jazz Festival, Köln Philharmonie, La Cigale Paris, Montreal Jazz Festival, Athens Technopolis, and Unit Tokyo.
Currently, they are working on their sixth studio album while continuing to tour and perform live around the world.

Main Stage Key Information
- Located on the ground floor of Gazarte, the Main Stage is the venue’s historic stage, hosting some of the biggest names in both Greek and international music.
- Seating: Depending on the event and the plan available during pre-sale, the Main Stage features numbered seating as well as standing areas.
- Features a balcony and two boxes.
- Accessibility: Wheelchair access is available, except for the balcony and boxes.
- The entrance is located on Iakhou Street.
