Alkyone, the performer and songwriter who appeared a few months ago like a breeze from the mountains of Edessa, comes on Wednesday July 5th at the Gazarte Roof Stage to present her first full-length album entitled “Exit Sign”, which was released on May 26th and it has already been loved by the public and the radio stations.

In the live she is preparing for all of us at the cool Roof Stage of Gazarte, in addition to the songs from the album, arrangements of favorite traditional and selected contemporary songs will also be heard, in an alternative approach, always with the special and dreamy sound that characterizes her.

On Wednesday July 5th come to the Gazarte Roof Stage and let’s explore Alkyone’s exciting musical world together.

A few words about Alkyone

The young performer and songwriter Alkyone was first introduced to us at the end of 2022 via YouTube, exciting with her arrangement of the traditional Epirus song “Xenitemena mo poulia”. A unique artist living and working in Edessa writing music that is deeply influenced by alternative pop, interspersed with traditional but also cinematic elements, Alkyone released on May 26, 2023 her debut album “Exit Sign” which she presented for the first time at the Panoramic Steps of the SNFCC on June 2. Already the public and radio stations have loved “Oh mother” and “Genesis”, the first two singles from this album. In her English-language compositions, Alkyone combines pop-folk elements with influences from seemingly disparate musical sounds. In her live performances, in addition to her personal pieces, she also approaches favorite songs with the freshness, the special look and the dreamy, otherworldly sound that characterizes her. He recently appeared alongside Maria Faradouris in two tribute concerts to Mikis Theodorakis in Zurich and Munich, while this summer he accompanies Thanasis Papakonstantinou in his concerts throughout Greece.
