HÄLLAS: The Interstellar Voyage Lands in Athens for the First Time!
After their triumphant performance at Thessaloniki’s Mammothfest last October, Swedish protometallers Hällas return to Greece for a one-night-only show in Athens. On February 8, Gazarte Ground Stage will host their first-ever performance in the Greek capital, promising a cosmic adventure fueled by their signature adventure rock sound, a unique fusion of 70s progressive rock, hard rock, and heavy metal.
A long-awaited night for the Athenian audience, this concert will be a sonic journey through the distinct sound universe of one of Europe’s most exciting bands.
About Hällas
Formed in 2011 in Jönköping, Sweden, Hällas quickly built a reputation for their distinctive sound, blending retro influences with modern storytelling. Their self-titled 2015 EP introduced the character Knight Hällas and his adventures in a parallel medieval universe. Their debut album, Excerpts from a Future Past (2017), featuring the anthemic “Star Rider,” solidified their reputation as trailblazers.
In 2020, they released Conundrum, the final chapter of their trilogy, receiving critical acclaim and charting in Sweden and Germany. Their latest album, Isle of Wisdom (2022), marks the pinnacle of their sound evolution, further cementing their presence on the European scene. With a growing fanbase across Europe and the US, every Hällas show becomes a highly anticipated event.
Their Athens show offers a rare opportunity to witness a pivotal moment in their journey, one that will be remembered for years to come. Expect a concert experience that transcends time and space, leaving a lasting imprint.
“The light will lead us to the end, will lead us to the Star Rider.”
Special Guests: Saturday Night Satan
Opening the evening are Saturday Night Satan, who debuted in 2024 with their captivating album “All Things Black”, released via Made of Stone Recordings.
Led by the dynamic frontwoman Kate and featuring Dimitris Kotsis (also of Black Soul Horde) responsible for most of the composition, arrangement, and lyrics, the band has made waves with their darkly elegant sound. They have shared the stage with major acts like Judas Priest, Accept, Bruce Dickinson, Green Lung, Lucifer, Night Demon, and Sonja.
Drawing influences from occult rock of the late 60s, proto-metal of the 70s, 80s heavy metal, and 90s Sabbath-inspired heavy rock, as well as horror cinema and religious mythology, Saturday Night Satan promise a captivating live show that blends powerful riffs with a dark aesthetic.
