Oddisee, one of the most charismatic and multi-dimensional artists in the hip-hop scene, is coming to Athens on May 11, 2025, at Gazarte Ground Stage. His sharp lyricism, diverse grooves, and atmospheric melodies create a sound that straddles hip-hop, jazz, funk, and go-go, establishing him as a multi-dimensional musical entity with a unique identity, one that doesn’t follow rules but carves new paths.

Born in Washington, D.C., to a Sudanese father and African American mother, Oddisee grew up between different cultures, which is clearly reflected in his music. From the outset, he avoided – and possibly rejected – the traditional music industry path, choosing to remain completely independent, writing, producing, mixing, and releasing his music solo, without compromise. Alongside his five-piece band, Good Compny, he has toured across the world, and albums like The Beauty in All (2013), The Iceberg (2017), and Odd Cure (2020) have received critical acclaim from outlets like NPR, TIME Magazine, Rolling Stone, and The New York Times.

2024 marks his return to the music scene with And Yet Still, an album that captures his artistic maturity while continuing to push the boundaries of hip-hop. With themes revolving around the challenges of modern life, this new release is an auditory journey that is bold yet full of sincerity.
