They are coming from the forests to take over the city! Dressed in leaves and bark, like beings from another dimension of post-punk reality, London’s ritualistic collective Snapped Ankles arrive in Athens to transform the Gazarte Ground Stage into a frenetic ceremonial dance!

From their explosive debut “Come Play The Trees” (2017) to their more recent “Forest Of Your Problems” (2021), the band has forged its own mythology around its eco-punk chaos. Snapped Ankles don’t belong to any single musical territory, combining krautrock grooves, post-punk energy, and tribal rhythms with drum machines, analog synths, and a completely primal stage presence that no one can ignore. Their performances are surreal—sometimes even otherworldly—experiences that soon explode into a shamanic party where the beats give the orders and the trees carry them out.

The band has evolved into a cult phenomenon of the UK underground, with sold-out tours, explosive shows at Glastonbury, SXSW, Green Man Festival, and the BBC 6 Music Festival, and an impressive collection of rave reviews from The Guardian, The Quietus, Stereogum, and NME. As someone once said about them: “It’s like Devo, Neu!, and LCD Soundsystem threw an underground party in the middle of a forest.”

On Saturday, January 24, 2026, the band returns to Greece for the first time in Athens, following their Greek debut at Street Mode Festival in Thessaloniki in the summer of 2025. Their sonic amalgam of primal rhythms and hypnotic melodies — striking a perfect balance between the organic and the digital, the primitive and the futuristic — together with their nearly ritualistic stage presence, promises a “concert” far beyond the classic meaning of the word.
