Conan, one of the heaviest acts of the British doom/sludge scene, return to Greece for two shows that promise to be earth-shaking. With guitars that sound like collapsing mountain ranges and rhythms that stomp forward like an ancient siege engine, the Liverpool trio continues to craft a sound so heavy and primal it borders on the mythical.

From Horseback Battle Hammer (2010) to Evidence of Immortality (2022), Conan have forged a style and identity entirely their own — the one often described as caveman battle doom. With a blend of colossal guitar riffs, monolithic rhythms, and raw, unrestrained energy, Conan don’t simply convince; they dominate.

Guitarist/vocalist Jon Davis remains the uncompromising core of the band. His voice echoes like a cry from within a volcanic abyss, and his guitar becomes an ancient weapon tearing through the air. Along with Chris Fielding on bass and Johnny King on drums, Conan operate as a unit unconcerned with what is digestible—only with what is true and elemental.

Their 2025 tour finds the band in peak form. With a setlist that spans their entire discography, Conan deliver a live experience you feel as much as you hear. The concerts in Athens and Thessaloniki will be a reminder of why Conan are considered one of the most defining doom bands of their era—extreme without trying to be, and authentic because they could not be anything else.
