223 Events presents ROME live in Greece, after 10 years! The internationally acclaimed music project of Jérôme Reuter comes to our country as part of their 20th-anniversary world tour. On 16 January 2026 at Eightball Club (Thessaloniki) and on 17 January 2026 at Gazarte Ground Stage (Athens), we will witness two rare, celebratory performances dedicated to their dark, poetic, and deeply charged music.

Jérôme Reuter, born in Luxembourg, founded ROME in 2005 and has since created a rich discography of more than 20 studio albums and countless other releases. His music — an idiosyncratic blend of dark folk, post-punk, chanson, industrial, and synth wave — is paired with lyrics inspired by literature, philosophy, and history. They often feel like small manifestos where poetry meets political thought and personal confession becomes communal experience. From Burroughs and Brecht to Céline and Cioran, Reuter’s poetic and reflective gaze carves out a unique path in the worldwide underground.

For two decades, ROME have built a devoted following from Berlin to Los Angeles and from Lisbon to Kyiv, through relentless touring and high-aesthetic concept albums. Recent works such as Hegemonikon (2022), Gates of Europe (2023), and the live recording in Kyiv (2023) highlight the consistency and dedication of an artist — and a project — in constant evolution. The theme of Gates of Europe, dedicated to the war in Ukraine, offers a deeper dimension to Reuter’s work, filled with political and social awareness; and his repeated concerts there stand as an act of solidarity with a people enduring a painful wartime reality.

The “One Fire Worldwide” tour arrives in Greece for two nights akin to an artistic ritual, celebrating the 20-year history of ROME, bringing to the stage highlights from their entire discography along with new material that signals the next chapter of the project.
