we.own.the.sky return to the stage after two years of absence, bringing with them their brand-new album In Your Absence. This is their third full-length release, and their first to be released by the Belgian label dunk! records, one of the most important record companies in the global post-rock and post-metal scene.

The album, which made a strong impression across online media, will be supported by the band’s first European tour, culminating in a major celebration in Athens. On Friday 19 December, they take the stage at Gazarte Ground Stage for an explosive and emotionally charged night — the biggest show of their career to date. In addition to performing In Your Absence in its entirety, the setlist will serve as a tribute to the band’s fifteen-year journey, featuring selections from across their entire discography.

we.own.the.sky formed in the spring of 2010, releasing their debut The Glass/Nails EP in January 2013, which received widespread acclaim from fans of instrumental rock and metal. Starting from their post-rock and alternative metal influences, they soon began infusing their sound with diverse elements — from electronic music to progressive metal — in a constant search for their personal sonic identity. Now counting fifteen years of activity, four releases, and countless live shows, we.own.the.sky are rightfully considered one of the most important Greek bands representing the post-rock/metal and broader alternative music scene.

Opening the night is FUTUROKOMONO, the personal artistic project of music producer Kostas Zambos. Having collaborated for years as a producer and composer with dozens of artists from the independent Greek scene — such as Sworr., Jef Maarawi, Afformance, Danai Nielsen, and more — he is now exploring his own identity as a solo artist. Since 2024 he has released ten independent tracks, many of which feature collaborations and musical experimentation with friends and artists he admires. His sound blends diverse elements, combining electronica, rap, ambient, post-rock, and alternative influences.
